On Monday, October 26, 2009, 7pm at the Palace of Fine Arts, Joe Dulude II and Lora Powell present Defying Inequality: The San Francisco Concert. The San Francisco Arts Community as well as special guest celebrities from near and far will be coming together to put on an evening of song, dance and awareness for Marriage Equality.
Proceeds from the evening benefit Marriage Equality USA and Garden State Equality.
Performers are coming from near and far to participate in the event. This special evening will include Patty Duke (Miracle Worker, Valley of the Dolls, Wicked), Bruce Vilanch, the Cast of Wicked San Francisco, Matt Alber, Clifford Banagale (Bruno, Altar Boyz), Boylesque, Connie Champagne, Carmen Cusack (South Pacific, Wicked), Ava Garter, Judy Gold, Selene Luna (The Cho Show), Meg Mackay, Scott Matthew (Shortbus), Billy Philadelphia, Laughing Pizza, Empress XXX Donna Sachet, and Suzanne Whang (Househunter, Las Vegas).
There will be a separately ticketed VIP after party in the lobby designed in a carnival/midway theme involving stilt walkers, contortionist, clowns, games and a variety of food and drink.

The concert will be directed by Joe Dulude II with musical direction by Bryan Perri.
