Declaring Our Erotic -
a writing workshop open to anyone interested in exploring erotic writing!
8 Tuesday evenings
Summer'10 series begins July 13!
Have you been thinking about exploring some new edges in your writing?
Are there longings you'd like to find language for?
Now's the time: Join this AWA-method sexuality writing workshop and:
* Get more comfortable exploring and talking about sexual desires,
* Receive strong and focused feedback about your new writing,
* Explore the varied and complex aspects of sexuality and desire, and, of course,
* Try your hand at some explicit erotic writing!
In addition, if you choose, you may share your manuscripts with peer writers for well-rounded response to your erotic work. In 8 weeks, you'll create an exciting body of fresh and (often) surprising new writing! No previous writing experience necessary -- Open to folks of all writing abilities!
Spaces are limited, and pre-registration is required. Open to folks of all sexualities and all genders!
Fee for 8-week session is $225-300, sliding scale. Workshops held in an accessible and BART-friendly location in downtown San Francisco. To register, visit http://www.writingourselveswhole.org/!
About your facilitator: Jen Cross is a freelance writer and educator whose writing has been published in numerous anthologies, including Tasting Her, Best Sex Writing 2008, Best Women's Erotica 2007, Best Fetish Erotica, and Naughty Spanking Stories from A to Z II, and cruises the country with other erotic queer femme performers with the Body Heat: femme porn tour! She's used erotic writing as a transformative process personally, has led erotic writing workshops since 2002, and is certified to facilitate AWA method workshops (as described in Pat Schneider's "Writing Alone and with Others," Oxford University Press, 2003).
