Join us on Saturday, January 30th from 5-6 PM in room 301 of the SF LGBT Community Center (Market and Octavia) for CWP’s first Volunteer Meet N Greet in 2010! Come learn more about what CWP’s plans are for 2010, meet the members currently serving on our steering committee and find out how you can become involved as a CWP volunteer for some of our exciting upcoming events! We are a VOLUNTEER community initiative through the San Francisco LGBT Community Center and need you to help put our ideas into action! We host monthly events including film nights, panels with local organizers and political figures, self-defense workshops, game nights, dating events, and art gatherings. All events are on a sliding scale; no one is turned away for lack of funds. If you have any interest in community organizing, social justice, event planning, advertising, fundraising, outreach, collaborating, facilitating, volunteering at events, meeting other queer women in the Bay Area, having fun or all of the above; and/or if you simply want more information, please e-mail us at centerwomenpresent@gmail.com with subject line VOLUNTEER! Volunteer commitment is typically 2-4 hours a week on average, but can be less or more depending on your interest. **************************************************** Center Women Present is a queer women’s initiative started at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center, serving all self-identified women, including lesbians, queer, bisexual, and transgender community members.
