Bisexual Social

Hey All,

I've decided to organize a regular, monthly social event for all bisexuals and their friends at Café Flore, at the corner of Market St. & Noe St. in San Francisco's Castro district. This event is open to all ages, genders, and orientations. The café serves food, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and there is no cover charge.

The gatherings will take place on the third Wednesday of every month, from 7 till 10 PM. The café will reserve two tables for us in the enclosed patio area. Of course we're free to mix and mingle, and expand to additional tables if we need them. We can move inside the café if it's too chilly on the patio.

These gatherings will coincide with other fun happenings in the neighborhood, providing plenty of opportunities for people watching and meeting new friends:

The Castro Farmers Market operates every Wednesday through the month of October from 4 till 8 PM, right outside the café, on Noe St. between Market and Beaver. (That block is closed to vehicular traffic for the duration of the market.)

The Buds (my band, which just happens to be half queer/bi!) will provide live music at the farmers market on two of our bi gathering dates: August 18 and October 20. We may even be coaxed into playing a few more tunes at the café after the market wraps up.

The Whatcha Doin Wednesdays promotional event features an amusing band of performers who roam among several bars and cafés in the area. They'll likely put in an appearance at some time or other. :-)

Arrive early to take advantage of Café Flore's happy hour, from 4 till 8 PM; as well as discounts on wines by the glass or bottle until closing time. There's also a Caipirinha bar on the patio -- Caipirinha is a Brazilian alcoholic concoction that sounds a little bit dangerous… I may have to try one!
