“San Francisco underground scene favorites Audrey Howard and the Misters perform tight-knit rock, driven by Audrey’s mind-blowing, real life guitar hero 'riffage.' " - Fabulosa Festival
San Francisco, CA -- SF’s favorite local all-girl, post-punk, melodic rock quartet “Audrey Howard & the Misters” are performing a cd release concert at Bottom of the Hill on Friday, Nov. 20th, 10pm. Headlining the event is all-girl rock and roll group “Dolorata.” Opening the show and releasing a cd is “View From Space”.
The new album, "Sister Sara," sounds like old-school Heart, with dashes of Pixies and a smattering of Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Inspired by The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the title track “Sister Sara” is a grunge-riff pop-punk rock song which celebrates alternative thinking and sexuality. The cover shot of the cd, which feature two nuns happily running down a hill, shows the joy which comes from breaking free of oppressive institutions and beliefs.
Audrey Howard & the Misters are beloved by their fans for their sultry and energetic live shows. Hot guitar riffs, driving drums, and smoking fiddle have earned the band a strong local fan base.
