The Dyke March put out a call for performers, so if you're comfortable doing yer thing at one of the world's largest lesbian events, check out the info below for instructions on how to apply. They're also looking for someone to design a logo, info for that's below as well. Deadline for both is March 20, so get on it.

Play the Dyke March Stage
The Dyke March rally takes place from 3 – 7 pm, leading up to the March from the Mission to the Castro. We showcase dance, spoken word, and musical performances and are committed to a stage as diverse as our audience. The rally will showcase 6-8 acts. Please be advised, we do not accept male performers for the Dyke March stage.
Selected artist will be paid a performance stipend.
Individual Artist - $300
Groups/Bands (four or more individuals) - $600
(Please let us know if you are willing to participate/perform at a Dyke March fundraiser, any time between April and the end of June, pro-bono. This does not guarantee a place on the rally stage though it is very valuable in making the Dyke March a reality and does get your information onto the Dyke March web site.)

Mission
The mission of the San Francisco Dyke March is to bring the dyke community together to be visible in a celebration of our diverse communities and to raise awareness of issues affecting all of us, strengthening an international perspective in our community. The Dyke March organizing committee advocates civil and social justice for dykes around the world.
The annual rally and march takes place on the Saturday of Pride weekend. The rally/cultural event showcases our communities' artists, critical thinkers and political activists on this day when thousands of dykes take our space, proclaiming rights and demanding respect.
History of the Dyke March
In 1992, a group of San Francisco lesbians organized the first Dyke March during the national LGBT march in Washington, D.C. The following year, the same group organized the Dyke March in San Francisco, where approximately

Design a Logo for the Dyke March!
The San Francisco Dyke March is seeking a logo we can use year after year. The logo will appear on all Dyke March information, on our website, and on t-shirts. (We will be seeking a t-shirt design specifict o this year's theme – tba – a bit later.)
The logo must have the words: San Francisco Dyke March
The logo may contain design elements of your choosing.
You may submit up to three designs.
There will be an award a $250 stipend to the chosen artist, as well as announce the artist on thedykemarch.org web site with a link to their site.

I wish you good luck in the next Dyke March. It seems to me more and more people join it every year. I've downloaded some broadcasts from mp3 search http://www.mp3hunting.com .10000 is quite a big number but I'm sure it will reach hundreds.
